Step 1. Initial Thesis Proposal Draft Approved by Advisor
After completing the initial draft of your thesis proposal (the first three chapters), you must get it approved by your advisor before proceeding to the next step.
Step 2. Confirm Oral Defense Date and Time
You are responsible for contacting the oral defense committee members to schedule the date and time.
[Regarding Online Oral Defense]
According to the principles of the Office of Academic Affairs, all oral defenses must be conducted in person. If you have special circumstances and need to apply for an online oral defense, please contact the institute office first.
Step 3. Book the Oral Defense Room
Please check with the department office for available classrooms.
If you cannot come to the campus in person, you can ask a classmate to assist you.
Step 4. Prepare and Submit Hardcopy Application Documents [at least 2 weeks before the oral defense]

Step 5. Send Your Thesis
You are responsible for preparing envelopes and other necessary materials to send the initial thesis draft to your committee members. You may also send it electronically.
Step 6. Arrange Parking for Committee Members [at least 1 week before the oral defense]
Please confirm with your committee members if they need parking.If they do, you can request parking coupons from the institute office.
Step 7. Prepare Oral Defense Documents [at least 2 days before the oral defense]

Step 8. Conduct the Oral Defense
You must complete the oral defense by the deadline for the current semester.
Step 9. Submit Oral Defense Documents for Archiving [within 2 business days after the oral defense]
After completing your oral defense, please submit the following documents to the institute office within two business days:
Step 10. Enter Information into the Student Information System [within 2 business days after the oral defense]
After completing your oral defense, please go to the student information system → "Thesis and Advisor Information" and enter your thesis-related information within two business days.
